Tourism Kelowna Visitor Centre

The Tourism Kelowna Visitor Centre is located along the waterfront in downtown Kelowna. The building was designed to be a showcase piece taking full advantage of the views with large curtain walls, and the roof curve following the mountain landscape in the distance.
In order to accentuate the architecture and maximize energy savings, a lighting system was installed that including both daylight and occupancy sensors as well as RGBW luminaires. The Owner group is able to manipulate the colours of various spaces to match special events or holidays. The lighting was designed to compliment and accent the building and not be overbearing. There are floor boxes throughout the retail space to facilitate mobile display cabinets and in-floor product detection mats to monitor product flow without impacting site lines.
